Working with Dr. Charlie Frederick
Dr. Charlie Frederick, singer, songwriter and educator is working with Kentucky singer Beth Davidson on plans to develop a new album featuring this Kentucky songbird. Dr. Frederick met Beth while she was working on her first album which gained some acclaim in various parts of the country. According to Frederick, Beth is a tremendous singer and writer and has a great future in country music.
The music business today is suffering from “sameness” and a lack of vision which has adversely affected the overall economic thrust of the business in general. No longer is Nashville, Los Angeles or New York the center of the business in the sense of what and how music is produced. With advances in technology and the internet, artists can be promoted and songs can be produced with the same quality that any of the major music centers could have produced. The day of big record labels and music publishers is over. The day of the independent writer and artist has arrived. The bottom line is that if the audience likes the song and the artist, then that artist will be seen and heard.
Beth Davidson was born in Harlan County, Kentucky and grew up in a musical family as her parents were both involved in music in earlier times. Beth early on had a flair for singing and writing and her songs and sounds are reflective of growing up in the coal mine region of Eastern Kentucky. Beth Davidson is a top notch artist and writer and will be a significant personality in country music in the near future.
